Carnival
The Carnival takes place at the end of the season on April 2nd, 2023 to celebrate and showcase all our skaters’ accomplishments. More information will follow by email, social media and our website.
The following Carnival guidelines are in place:
All costumes are the property of the club, and are not to be taken home at any time or as instructed by Carnival Chairperson.
You must be a full time skater to have a part in the annual ice show. This includes all on and off ice sessions. One day skaters will have one number. To have a solo or feature will be determined by the Carnival Chairperson or Coaches with regards to the format of the carnival.
STARSKATE SENIOR skaters:
Are eligible for a feature in this year’s ice show if they meet the following criteria:
● SOLO – TFSC “Home Club” members who have passed their complete Sr. Bronze Freeskate Test. Qualifications to be determined by the Carnival Committee and the Coaches.
● FEATURE – A full paid member of the TFSC grouped with 2 or 3 skaters
● GROUPS – There will be 2 group numbers made up of skaters at the discretion of the carnival chairperson and coach.
STARSKATE INTERMEDIATE skaters:
Full time TFSC members will be participating in a minimum of 2 group numbers
STARSKATE JUNIOR skaters:
Full time TFSC members will be participating in 2 group numbers
Canskate, Pre-Canskate & Powerskaters:
Will be participating in 1 group number grouped and choreographed by Professional Coaches and Carnival Chairperson
NOTE: If a skater misses 3 consecutive practices, they will be out of all numbers in the ice show. Costumes, head pieces, music and choreography are all designed with the theme of the carnival in mind by the carnival chair person and the club coach. All skaters must wear the complete costume as intended to participate in the carnival.
Features, including music, may be determined by the chairperson and the club coach. Remember that a feature is a privilege that you have earned and not a right.
