Covid-19 Return to Play Protocols

All individuals taking part in skating activities must self-screen in accordance with current public heath guidelines before each training session. Individuals must not attend any training sessions or club activities if they:
• Exhibit any COVID-19 symptoms, such as a fever, cough, difficulty breathing, or other symptoms identified by health experts
• Have been in contact with someone with an active case of COVID19 in the past 14 days
• Have returned from travel outside of Canada and do not have a Travel Exemption as per the Government of Canada.

Individuals who are considered a vulnerable or at-risk (individuals over 70 years, weakened immune system or medical conditions such as heart disease, lung disease, cancer etc.) should strongly consider their participation in activities.

A one-time COVID-19 waiver will need to be filled out for each skater at registration or prior to them taking the ice. CLICK HERE to review the waiver. When registering you'll need to accept the waiver at checkout for each skater by checking the box electronically. PLEASE DO NOT PRINT OR EMAIL THE WAIVER TO US.

The Tilbury Figure Skating Club will conduct a screening protocol whereby individuals are screened on-site on a daily basis before participation in any club or skating activities. This screening will be conducted verbally as you enter the building each time – once you enter the arena you are not allowed to leave and come back.  Anyone entering the arena must wear a mask, skaters can only take off their masks once they get on the ice. Skater’s must come to the arena dressed and ready to go on the ice within 10 mins of your session time starting and must exit the arena within 10 mins of your session ending – the doors to the arena will be locked during session times so skater’s must arrive on time or they won’t be able to enter the building. Parents will be permitted in the arena at the same time as their child and will not be allowed if they do not accompany upon entrance. Staff will direct parents to the stands to be seated, no parents are allowed in the dressing room hallways (designated skate tying areas will be provided in the concession area).
